After spending more than 22 years in the restaurant and bar industry, I began to notice something that never sat right with me—the waste. Every night, I watched perfectly good fruit being cut, used once, and tossed aside. Not only was it costly, it felt careless in a world where sustainability matters more than ever. That’s where the seed for The Twisted Peel was planted.

 

Dehydrating fruit became my solution—something beautiful, sustainable, and practical. By drying fresh citrus and fruit, we’re able to cut down on waste, reduce labor for bartenders, and create garnishes that elevate any cocktail without losing their vibrancy or flavor. It’s about making every slice count.

 

But this company is about more than just garnishes. As my parents have gotten older, this venture has become something deeply personal. Starting The Twisted Peel has given me the chance to spend more time with them—laughing, brainstorming, slicing, and packaging side by side. It’s not just a business; it’s become a way for us to share something meaningful together.


What began as a way to solve a problem in the bar world has grown into a family passion project—one that brings people together, one cocktail at a time. Every jar holds not only a garnish but also a story of sustainability, creativity, and family love.
